OREANDA-NEWS. February 12, 2010. The State Statistics Committee reports that this January Azerbaijan’s internal trade turnover totaled AZN 1.389 bn (US 1.729 bn in accord with exchange rate of AZN 0.8035 to the US dollar by early February 2010) versus AZN 15.916 bn for 2009 (US19.819 bn in accord with rate of AZN 0.8031 to the US dollar by early 2010).

Last December trade turnover made up AZN 1.8 bn and this January its level was 24.1% less.

This January retail trade turnover ensured 1.015 bn with rise of 8.4% (against 11.828 bn over the past year, including AZN 1.338 bn in December), and volume of paid services AZN 374.5 million with rise of 11.9% (AZN 4.088 bn, including AZN 492.3 million).

In January 2010, it was spent AZN 668.8 million on foods and AZN 347.6 million on non-foods.
