Atomstroyexport and GNS Signed Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2010. CJSC Atomstroyexport and German company GNS signed an agreement concerning the cooperation in spent nuclear fuel management. Atomstroyexport informed the parties had agreed “to merge efforts and expertise in the field of the use of dual-use containers, including those for Russian-design reactor SNF, as well as in design, services and equipment for decommissioning of nuclear power plants.”
The companies intend to jointly participate in implementation of a number of projects, specifically, Belene N-plant construction project in Bulgaria, where CASTOR containers for VVER fuel will be used.
