OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2010. Eurasian Development Bank bonds of which are present in Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) official list, provided to KASE the following press release, reported the press-centre of KASE:

Eurasian Development Bank received the notice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan on implementation by Tajikistan of internal state procedures, necessary to give effect the Agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and Eurasian Development Bank in Tajikistan, and terms of Eurasian Development Bank presence in the country.

In compliance with the signed Agreement, EDB being the international organization, the international law subject receives a legal entity rights in Tajikistan. Also, the Bank has the specific legal status, stipulating granting to it privileges and benefits, including the property and legal immunity, venues and automobile transport immunity, tax and customs exemptions; advantages allowing avoidance of loses and risks, caused by possible changes in the legislation and banking regulation in Tajikistan.

Tajikistan paid its stake in EDB authorized capital in the size of US0 th in June 2009. In October Dushanbe informed EDB on appointment of the Minister of Finance Safarali Nadjmiddinov as its representative in the Bank Board, and the First Deputy Chairman of the Government Committee on State property Management Abdugafor Rakhmonov - as his deputy. In compliance with the EDB charter they became the bank Board members.
