Amur Oblast Intends to Assemble Belarusian Farm Machinery
OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2010. The production facility, which will assemble tractors Belarus, is expected to be set up in the Amur Oblast of the Russian Federation. The issues related to setting up the production facility have been discussed during a meeting of First Deputy Industry Minister of Belarus Ivan Demidovich and Amur Oblast Governor Oleg Kozhemyako. Their meeting was held in the city of Blagoveshchensk (Russia).
The sides also reached an agreement on setting up a joint production facility in the town of Shimanovsk. The new plant will assemble combine harvesters KZS 1218 Gomselmash. In 2010, some 200 combine harvesters are expected to be assembled in the new the plant. The Belarusian farm machines will harvest soybean in the Amur region.
The sides also considered the organization of consignment storehouses of spare parts for the Belarusian quarry equipment. Specialists of the Amur Oblast will be trained in Belarus to assemble and exploit the Belarusian farm machinery and provide servicing.
According to the results of the talks, First Deputy Industry Minister of Belarus Ivan Demidovich and First Deputy Governor of the Amur Oblast Viktor Kapkanshchikov signed the protocol on cooperation development.
