OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2010. TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, will stop supporting the women’s basketball team TEO from the next  basketball season in the autumn of 2010. Each year the Company used to allocate more than LTL 2 million for the support of the best women’s basketball team in Lithuania.
 
"For more than 10 years the Company has been consistently supporting women's basketball and the team achieved truly impressive victories on the basketball courts of Lithuania, the Baltic States and Europe. However, in the present economic situation in which the team receives support from neither public authorities nor the city government, TEO, as a business enterprise, also needs to save costs, and first of all, think about preserving jobs for its employees and its employee incentive programs”, - Arunas Shikshta, General Manager of TEO, said.
 
TEO supports the multiple winner of women's basketball championships of Lithuania and the Baltic States and the participant of the women's basketball tournament Euroleague through public institution VshI TEO Sportas. The Company is the sole founder and owner of this public institution since 1998.
