OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2010. As a result, for recently started 2010 AZIPS turnover can hardly be compared with the turnover figures for entire 2009 (USD 90.7 bn) and 2008 (USD 89.167 bn).

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) informs that this January it was conducted 24,000 transactions for AZN 4.4 bn (average size of a transaction made up AZN 184,167) versus 40,000 ones for AZN 10.748 bn (average size of a transaction made up AZN 268,700) in December 2009.

For comparison: last January it was carried out 27,000 transactions for AZN 5.003 million (AZN 1.85 million).

Thus, in 2009 it was carried out 393,000 payments for AZN 72.856 bn with average size of a transaction for AZN 185,384.

In 2008, it was conducted 456,000 transactions for AZN 71.423 bn versus 433,000 for AZN 38.73 bn in 2007 and 370,000 operations for AZN 23.85 bn in 2006.

So, in December 2008 quantity of transactions kept its record on number of transactions (47,000). But the record on turnover a month (AZN 10.748 bn) and average size of a transaction (AZN 268,700) transferred to December 2009.

The system has operated since 2001 during which 342,000 transactions were fulfilled for “modest’” AZN 2.76 bn of its turnover on 342 operations. At the same time, average of size of payment totaled only AZN 8,100.
