OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2010. A new ECO-250 VST screw compressor with frequency performance control has been installed in the water supply and disposal facilities at EuroChem-BMU in Belorechensk, Krasnodar Territory.

This turbo compressor was purchased from the Turkish company, EKOMAK Compressor, for RUR 3.49 million. The compressor is equipped with Siemens electric motors, providing high reliability. The installation was performed by Nevinnomyssk-remstroyservis at a total cost of RUR 0.58 mln.

The new equipment enables a technological process which can provide significant electricity savings. The new 250 kW screw compressor provides a reliable technology and stable pressure for instruments and devices which it supplies compressed air to.

It also takes the load off the existing, more powerful 1600 kW compressor which can now be dedicated to supplying the plant with compressed air required for industrial needs.
