From February, TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunications, IT and TV services in Lithuania, is reducing the prices of calls to the networks of Lithuanian mobile operators by up to 60 per cent The Company was able to offer more favourable conditions for its clients to making calls to mobile operator networks because of the decrease in the interconnection rates this year.
 
From 15 February 2010, private customers of TEO will be offered a new payment plan Mobilusis (Mobile), which will give 30 free of charge minutes of calls to mobile networks and 150 free of charge minutes of call within TEO network for the monthly payment of LTL 29.90.
 
Furthermore, all private customers will be offered an additional payment plan Savi (Own). This payment plan for the price of LTL 5 provides subscriber with 30 minutes free of charge calls to mobile network. When free minutes will be used, the calls will cost only LTL 0.19 per minute.
 
TEO has also created a new payment plan Mobilusis 1 (Mobile 1) for business clients, which for the monthly fee of LTL 5 gives an opportunity to make up to 60 per cent cheaper calls to mobile networks. Subscribers of this payment plan will pay only LTL 0.24 per minute for calls to any Lithuanian mobile network 24 hours per day. Call set up fee is LTL 0.14.
 
According to Nerijus Ivanauskas, Chief Marketing Officer of TEO, steadily falling interconnection fees in Lithuania enable the Company to provide services to its clients on much more favourable conditions.
 
“The sender-keeps-all concept is rapidly spreading throughout the European Union. In the future, the rates undergoing further reductions will let the clients forget to which operator’s network they are calling, thus the differences in call prices will significantly decrease”, – N. Ivanauskas said.
