OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2010. Mobiasbanca - Groupe Societe Generale won the “Golden Mercury” Grand Prix in the contest “Brand of the Year 2009” in the category “Financial Institutions, Products and Services”, nomination “Inter”.

In 20 years of prosperous activity on the Moldovan market, Mobiasbanca has created an image of an innovative and dynamic bank. After 2007, the bank is acquired by Groupe Societe Generale, thus, to the image being added the qualities of an international bank.

“The award granted to our brand is a very important indicator of our image quality, of the customer loyalty, and is the result of the 3 promotion years of the new brand on the Moldovan market. More than that, in the nearest future, we expect some good achievements and more interesting innovations that will, for sure, further substantiate our image as a safe bank, a bank which is close to the customer. Moreover, it is our new slogan, which we promote - “We stand by you”, said Jean-Francois Myard, president of the bank.

It is not the first time, when Mobiasbanca trademarks are awarded. Right from the first edition of this contest, in 2003, Mobiasbanca won the prize “Golden Mercury” for the trademark “Mobiasbanca - Is Your Bank.”. Bank trademarks were also awarded in 2006: trademark “NEOS” received the Medal of Honour for “Debut of the Year 2006” and in 2005 the trademark “Retail Loan” won the Gold Mercury “Debut of the Year 2005”.

The contest “Brand of the Year” is initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is organized in collaboration with the State Agency for Intellectual Property, in order to reveal effective ways to promote brands, the originality of brands creators and the level of trademark recognition among consumers. This is a professional tournament that takes place annually since 2003.
