Bank of Azerbaijan’s New Chairman of Board Assigned
OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2010. Nedim Kashkal who has a rich banking experience is assigned the chairman of the Board of the Bank of Azerbaijan.
The Bank reports that fulfilling very professionally his duties, Khayal Sharif-zade, the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Azerbaijan is nominated to a new position in accordance with the decision of the general assembly of the shareholders of the Bank of Azerbaijan. Starting from this day, Sharif-zadeh will implement new projects in ZQAN Holding.
“I am confident that I will be able to perform all tasks assigned to me. At the same time, a newly assigned Chairman of the Board of the Bank Mr.Nedim Kashkal will obtain new successes in turning the Bank of Azerbaijan into one of the leaders of the financial sector of Azerbaijan,” Sharif-zadeh said.
Sharif-zadeh has been appointed to the post of the Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Azerbaijan in January 2009 and started immediately carry out several important reforms being as the basis of the future development of the Bank.
The newly-assigned Chairman of the Board of the Bank has a rich banking experience and worked in higher position in Ziraat Bank, Vak?flar Bank and other financial institutions of Turkey. Since 2003 till the moment of a new nomination, Mr.Nedim Kashkal has been the general manager of Ziraat Bank in Moscow.
Born on 20 January 1954, Nedim Kashkal is gradutated from the economic faculty of the Istanbul University.
The volume of the fixed capital of the Bank of Azerbaijan established in 1993 is AZN15 million while the amount of its total assets exceeds AZN 144 million.
