OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2010. ROSNO’s Ulyanovsk branch has provided insurance coverage for two vessels owned by Production and Operation Firm Volgaremflot Ltd. The insurance amount for each vessel is 12,163,000 roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The dry cargo motor vessels Novoulyanovsk and Orekhovo-Zuevo have been insured against the risk of their complete loss, including rescue-related expenses. The insurance protection applies to the insured accidents occurring within the sailing area — at the internal RF waterways.

The dry cargo vessels have been insured for the entire insurance period (39 months). The insurance protection will be effective during the vessel’s voyage; sea trials; performance of transshipment works during anchorage; upon completion of repairs or construction of the vessel; towing, pilotage or passage; in course of providing assistance to, and towing, the distressed vessels or other objects; and during rescue works.

This is not the first time that PEF Volgaremflot Ltd. has entrusted insurance protection of its vessels to ROSNO: In 2007, ROSNO insured three of the company’s dry cargo vessels, together with the vessel owner’s liability, for the duration of the one-time voyage from the port of Tixi to the port of Belomorsk via the Vilkitsky Strait.
