TATNEFT Is Leader in Wells Operation Mean Time between Failures
OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2010. Tatneft being a long time leader in the petroleum industry in Russia with regard to the wells mean time between failures (MTBF) has reached a new level: the average MTBF increased from 907 days to 1,011 days (by 11.5%) in 2009, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.
The new achievement means a further growth of trouble-free equipment operation period, reducing downtime of wells awaiting repairs, reducing costs to maintain the well stock in working condition. This allows an appreciable saving of energy and resource consumption.
This is the result of joint efforts of geologists, engineers, well maintenance and workover people as well as many other professionals of TATNEFT working in close collaboration with colleagues from the management service companies.
