OREANDA-NEWS. February 04, 2010. A conference dedicated to the presentation of the project named "Reconstruction of the Port Channel in the Port of Gdynia" was held on 25 January 2010 at the premises of the Port of Gdynia Authority S.A., the subsidy agreement No: POIS.07.02.00-00-004/09-00.

The project "Reconstruction of the Port Channel in the Port of Gdynia", co-financed by the European Union Cohesion Fund in the amount of PLN 53.73 mln is an extremely important undertaking in terms of safety of navigation in the Port of Gdynia and maintaining it’s strong position in the region.

During the conference the participants were introduced to the details of this multi-stage investment. The President of Gdynia Wojciech Szczurek participating in the conference congratulated the Executive Board of the Company on the consistent efforts to gain European funds for development of the port which also contributes to the development of the city and the region. The total project value including VAT amounts to more than PLN 95 million. The difference between the amount of subsidy compensation and the value of the total project will be covered entirely by the beneficiary - Port of Gdynia Authority SA, as its own contribution.
