SSMSC announced results for 2009. According to Securities and Stock Market State Commission (SSMSC), in 2009, the total volume of shares issued by Ukrainian companies amounted to UAH 102 bn (in 2008: UAH 46 bn). About 61% of all issues that had place in 2009 were the shares issued by banking institutions. The SSMSC in 2009 registered over 200 issues of corporate bonds for the total of UAH 9.6 bn (in 2008: UAH 31.4 bn). Among the organizers of trades in 2009 the first place by transactions volume was taken by PFTS SE (39% of the total volume of deals made), the second – by Perspektiva SE (32%), and the third place – by Ukrainska SE (9%).

Equity market. January 29, the index of Ukrainska SE was down 0.55%. On this trading floor 1,454 deals were made for the total of UAH 39.9 mn. That day the decline leaders were Ukrnafta (UNAF), Luganskteplovoz (LTPL) and Mostobud (MTBD) – 6.4%, 3.5%, and 3.4%, accordingly.
