OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2010. In 4Q09, Raiffeisen Bank Aval registered a net loss of UAH 0.4bn (down 13%, q/q), which resulted in BAVL’s total loss of UAH 2.0bn in 2009. The bank’s credit portfolio decreased by 4% to UAH 48.7bn in 4Q09, while its assets fell by 10% to UAH 54.0bn.

Millennium Capital sees the news to be moderately positive for BAVL, since its net loss has decreased for during the second quarter in a row. Meanwhile, the higher drop in the bank’s assets comparing to its credit portfolio seems to indicate a slowdown in BAVL’s reserves growth and its slight lending recovery.
