According to the analytical center of “Rusagrotrans”, in December 2009, Russia faced the growth of the innder and export supplies of grains by railway transport from 1.46 mln tonnes (in November 2009) to 1.61 mln tonnes, including 771 thsd tonnes of export shipment through railway lines, declared the press-cutting service of CJSC “Rusagrotrans”.

As a result, in 2009, grain exports from Russia totaled 21.7 mln tonnes with the average weighted price of 170 USD/t, which totaled nearly 3.6 bln USD in monetary terms. In December 2009, the share of railway transport in export grain shipment totaled 50%, which exceeded the index of December 2008 (41%).

According to estimations of the analytical center of “Rusagrotrans”, in January 2010, the export volumes will total 1.3-1.4 mln tonnes, which will become the record index for the month period during recent years.
