OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2010. During 12 months of 2009 2 947 446 passengers were carried by Rossiya, a 15,3% decrease on the same period of the last year. Decline is caused by the overall stagnation in the market of passenger traffic and separation from the company's Moscow branch, that resulted in cessation of flights from Moscow. The share of Rossiya Airline’s branch was about 13% in 2008.

Programm of regular flights from St. Petersburg almost didn't change. The main reduction comes at irregular flights.

1 554 038 passengers were carried on domestic routes, 1 393 408 – on international routes. In 2009 31 141 flights were operated by Rossiya, including 11 873 flights on international routes and 19 268 – on domestic routes. The airline's passenger turnover reached 6 090,72 million passenger-kilometers. The total flying time reached 73 404,5 hours.
