OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2010. According to a press service release of the Industrial Policy Ministry, the Ministry has proposed that Ukrainian chemical enterprises fix the price of mineral fertilizer for the duration of the period of the crop sowing campaign. In particular, the Ministry is proposing fixing the prices for ammonium nitrate, carbamide, phosphate fertilizers, and compound fertilizers. The Ministry did not state the price it considers appropriate.

Millennium Capital: this news is negative for the Ukrainian fertilizer producers (including Concern Stirol). Fixed prices for fertilizers will prevent adaptation to the market situation and there is a high probability that the estimated price level will be understated.
