OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2010. The Company says that Baku Gas Operations Department of its sub-company Azeriqaz signed gas supply agreements with 1,099 greenhouses.

In particular agreements were signed with 789 hothouses in Azizbeyov, 40 in Surakhani, 261 in Sabunchi, 6 in Binagadi and 3 in Garadagh districts of Baku.

“As a result, the process of establishment of contract relations with the Baku hothouses was finished. In parallel idle greenhouses were disconnected from gas supply,” SOCAR says.

Earlier the issue of gas supply for hothouses has been raised since 1992.
