OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2010. The State Statistics Committee informs that the country is numbering totally 1,755 municipal enterprises as of January 2010.

It makes up 1.9% of overall number of legal entities (89,939 enterprises). At the same time in 2009 it was created only one (!) municipal enterprise and liquidated 1,038 ones of this form of ownership.

For comparison: for the past year the country observed opening of 5,314 new businesses and liquidation of 1,336 ones.
