OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2010. The Moscow Regional Duma [legislature] informed the FAS Russia's Commission that it had voluntarily eliminated the violation of the antimonopoly law - granting rental payment privileges to rental payment to certain economic entities for using plots of land, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Under the Law of the Moscow region "On Regulating Land Relations in the Moscow Region", the coefficient accounting for conditions of using a plot of land by the land tenant or the type of activities exercised by the land tenant on a land plot was set at one for unitary enterprises of organizations providing health care, social services, veterinary services, physical culture and sport activities, which was many times lower that the coefficient set for economic entities involved in similar activities.

This certainly put unitary enterprises or organizations providing health care, social services, veterinary services, physical culture and sport activities in a privileged position in comparison with other economic entities involved in similar economic activities, including the entrepreneurs of the Odinstovo district, the Moscow region, who petitioned to FAS Russia.

The Moscow Regional Duma promptly introduced the Law of the Moscow region "On Regulating Land Relations in the Moscow Region".

"Voluntary elimination of antimonopoly violations by the Moscow Regional Duma will set an example of prompt reaction to FAS Russia's actions for potential violators, which will undoubtedly have a positive effect for the state of competition in Russia", said Stats-Secretary Andrey Tsarikovsky, Deputy Head of FAS Russia.
