OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2010. Belarus’ imports of grape wines increased 0.3% on the year in the first eleven months of 2009 year-on-year to 3.718 million decaliters, according to preliminary statistics of the State Customs Committee.

In monetary terms, imports increased 7.8% to USD 49.538 million.

Wine imports from Moldova amounted to 3.114 million decaliters, down 3.4% in terms of decaliters, to the amount of USD 34.729 million, up 0.8% in monetary terms.

Imports from Ukraine went up 100% to 179,900 decaliters, worth USD 1.726 million, up 100%. Wine imports from Georgia increased 55.2% to 84,300 decaliters, worth USD 3.375 million, up 53.3%. Imports from Chile doubled to 59,700 decaliters, from Spain rose 21.5% to 68,500 decaliters, from France increased 13% to 52,000 decaliters, and from Italy increased 43% to 43,200 decaliters.
