January 25, 2010. “COMSTAR – United TeleSystems” JSC (“Comstar” or “the Group”) (LSE: CMST), the largest integrated telecommunications provider in Moscow and 69 Russian cities, today announced that its Moscow City Telephone Network (“MGTS”) subsidiary has added a further 41 thousand residential broadband internet subscribers in Moscow since the end of the third quarter of 2009. As a result, MGTS now has over 250 thousand residential broadband subscribers, just over two years after the launch of its broadband internet service offering in October 2007. Comstar owns 69.93% of MGTS, which is Moscow’s incumbent fixed line telecommunications service provider.
