OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2010. State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and CJSC the Energy Efficiency and Resource Saving Agency entered into a Memorandum on Cooperation in Implementing Projects Aimed at Boosting Energy Efficiency and Resource Saving.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Memorandum was signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and on behalf of the Energy Efficiency and Resource Saving Agency – by its General Director Sergei Ochakov.

The Memorandum was signed in order to carry out projects aimed at boosting energy efficiency and resource saving implemented as part of the government policy.

Under the Memorandum the parties intend to promote all-round cooperation and are exploring the possibility of their joint participation in implementing projects to boost energy efficiency and resource saving that are being considered or financed by Vnesheconombank. The two parties’ main lines of cooperation will be to evaluate and to comprehensively analyze the said projects.

Vnesheconombank’s  participation in projects aimed at boosting energy efficiency was included in the list of main lines of investment activity of the Memorandum on Vnesheconombank’s Financial Policies at the end of 2009 (Order of the Russian Government dated November 26, 2009 №1783-r).

CJSC the Energy Efficiency and Resource Saving Agency was established in late November with the assistance of Vnesheconombank. It incorporates leading experts in the energy and communal services sectors. The Agency is tasked with addressing issues of boosting energy efficiency of industrial enterprises and the household sector acting as a project integrator of federal and regional programs designed to boost energy efficiency and resource saving in implementing the Federal Law “On Energy Saving and Enhancing Energy Efficiency”.
