OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2010. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has conducted a session dedicated to introduction of centralized system of management with technologies and communications (IRTI) in its sub-company Azeriqaz.

SOCAR reports that the session considered the current situation with gas losses during its transportation and supply and methods of organization of computerized control system. It was decided to install ROS electronic gas metersm supervise gas parameters, create radio-modem system of data transfer. ITRI is to unite Azeriqaz, sub-company Azneft, Gas Export Department, joint ventures and operating companies into single network. Installation of 100 electronic meters will be demanded for that.
