Aeroflot Received 33th А320
OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2010. JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines has received the 33th А320 by Airbus. The Airplane is called after Igor Kurchatov, an outstanding Soviet physicist, the founder of Institute of an atomic energy, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.
Currently, the company’s air fleet operates 64 aircraft from the A319/320/321 family.
The aircraft was purchased under a financial lease contract signed in December 2008 between Aeroflot JSC and Airbus Corporation.
All А320 family aircraft are delivered to Aeroflot directly ex-factory. The cabins have two-class layout and can accommodate 116 (А319), 140 (А320) and 170 (А321) passengers. Aeroflot operates А320 family aircraft to a network of European and Russian domestic routes.
The company is among the world’s leaders in terms of operational reliability and actual hours flown per aircraft. A320 is one of the best machines for medium range flights, complying with safety, reliability and passenger comfort requirements.
