Bank of Azerbaijan Receives International Certificate of Quality
OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2010. The Bank of Azerbaijan (BA) passed successfully the re-certification audit of Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008, held by the international company - Moody International.
The bank informed that reception of this certificate is the real example of the fact that the management quality of BA conforms to highest international standards.
“It is important to note that BA became the first among all banks of the country to obtain international quality certificate ISO 9001:2008 from Moody International,” it was informed.
It should be noted that ISO 9001:2008 standard was enacted by ISO International Organization in November, 2008. The quality certificate ISO 9000 is the documental proof of conformity of the management system to the most important standards of the world known as ISO of 9000 series. The main standard of ISO of 9000 series is ISO 9001:2008.
Let’s remind that BA was certified as meeting international standard ISO 9001:2000 in 2006.
“Since 2009, the serious work has been carried out in the bank which should turn BA into one of leaders of the financial sector of the country. The significant role in this work is played by structural and HR changes. For the time being, we can declare with full assurance that we are on the right track. The brightest example is International Quality Certificate of ISO 9001:2008 obtained by us,” CEO of BA Khayal Sharif-zade said.
As early as by 2011, BA plans to be among ten leading banks of the country by the volume of its assets. Presently, the volume of total assets of BA exceeds AZN 144 million while the volume of charter capital totals AZN 15 million. During 2010, charter capital of BA will be increased up to AZN 25 million.
