State Secretary of CIS Visited Roscosmos
OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2010. The State Secretary inspected Roscosmos’ data acquisition center and got informations about the status of the orbital constellations. Roscosmos Head Anatoly Perminov made a tour around the museum of the Federal Space Agency for Mr. Borodin.
Mr. Perminov noted that many things were done by Roscosmos under space programs on the CIS’ level. He said, in particular:
"First, there was scientific and technical program of the CIS “Development and application of space systems and space data acquisition, processing and display technologies” (Cosmos-BR), 1999-2002. Cooperation continued in 2004-2007 under Cosmos-SG ("Development and application of advanced space systems and technologies for the benefits of economical, scientific and technical evolution of the CIS”). Both programs are completed successfully.
Currently, two programs of the CIS’ level are in place. These are Cosmos-NT ("Development of the basic items, design technologies and application approach for multifunctional space system orbital and ground segments", 2008-2011), and Nanotechnology-SG ("Development of nanotechnologies for space material, device and system production and their adaptation in other industries and mass production", 2009-2012).
In addition, advanced space programs of the CIS are drafted. These are Standatization-SG ("Standardization approach to the space systems to be developed under programs and projects of the CIS", 2011-2014), Telematics-SG (“Development of the users’ navigation data united technology and establishment of the experimental sites in Russia and Belorussia”, 2011-2014), and Monitoring-SG (“Establishment of the space monitoring data experimental sites for the users in Russia and Belorussia", 2012-2015)".
Pavel Borodin awarded memorial medals “For Cooperation” to employees of the rocket and space industry to mark the 10th anniversary of the CIS establishment. Among the awarded for significant contribution into establishment and evolution of the CIS, there are Vitaly Davydov, Anatoly Shilov, Yury Makarov of Roscosmos, Valery Menshikov, Space System R&D Director, and others.
