Scientists from Amur Region Discovered Supernova
OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2010. Scientists from Blagoveschensk obtained unique images of the start blast via robotic telescope Master located in the city’s suburbs.
Later on, the blast was seen through some other telescopes but the regional scientists were the first to make this discovery. This was also confirmed by official bulletin of the International Astronomical Society received in Blagoveschensk on Jan. 7.
Master telescope helped to make three astronomical discoveries within two months of operation. In addition to the image mentioned above, these were photos of two gamma-blasts.
