OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2010. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced a zero percent rate during January-March 2010 for the surcharge on the current gas tariff that is used to raise money for financing the technological requirements of enterprises in the ore mining and metallurgical complex.

Оn April 17, 2009 the Cabinet of Ministers introduced a 2% surcharge on the gas tariff for industrial enterprises (excluding enterprises using natural gas as raw material) and state-financed organizations and institutions.

Millennium Capital: this news is positive for Ukrainian fertilizer producer – Concern Stirol. Scrapping the gas surcharge sees to it that Stirol may increase its working capital to be used in the Concern’s operations. Unfortunately, this fact does not solve all the problems of the Company. Millennium Capital would like to mention in this regard the decision that had been endorsed earlier to suspend the imposition of the anti dumping duty on ammonium nitrate imported from Russia for three months.
