OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2010. The Agriculture Ministry of Belarus suggests that European Union experts inspect its dairies to check conformance to European standards and issue European certificates, a source in the ministry told.

“EU inspectors will be given a new list of processing companies that aim at having European certificates,” the source said.

Inspectors already checked OAO Bereza cheese factory, OAO Savushkin product and JV Santa Bremor, which may enable Belarusian producers to supply their make to the EU in the long run. A report for the EU veterinary bureau has been compiled.

EU experts are expected to visit Belarus in January 2010.
