OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2010. The Finnish electronic components maker Elcoteq has informed the Helsinki stock exchange about plans to gradually expand production in its Tallinn unit in the second quarter of this year.

The enlargement is related to the manufacturing ramp-up of a new customer and the production consists of high-tech and complex products differing from typical mass production, the company said in a statement.

Elcoteq stock had by 2 p.m. shot up 36 percent on the Helsinki stock exchange.
