Service-Invest Completed Reconstruction of Vozrozhdenie Substation
OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2010. Service-Invest LLC (DTEK) has completed a reconstruction aimed at switching the 35 kV Vozrozhdenie substation to the voltage class of 110 kV. It is the largest investment project of Service-Invest in 2009 with a total cost of about UAH30m.
The project comprised the construction of a 110 kV outdoor switchgear at the substation and a new 110 kV cable line. Switching the energy facility to 110 kV with the introduction of new advanced equipment will improve the reliability of energy supplies to a number of large consumers and to Kirovsky District of Donetsk city in general. The reconstruction will increase transmission and create additional production capacities.
To ensure uninterrupted energy supplies, two new power transformers of 40 MVA each, up-to-date microprocessor relay protection and automation devices (ABB, Finland, Sweden), 110 kV SF6 circuit breakers (SIEMENS) and other equipment were installed at the substation. Furthermore, it is the first time in the Company’s history when two 110 kV cable lines of 1.6 km long each were laid out.
‘Modernization of the Company’s energy equipment is our planned activity, which is carried out in line with state-of-the-art technical and scientific solutions. Applying, for the first time, such solution as high-voltage cable lines for reconstruction of a tie substation, Service-Invest can address a number of issues as to reliable energy supplies to consumers, optimize and in some cases even change traditional circuit layouts’, explains the General Director of Service-Invest LLC, Valeriy Mostsypan.
