OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2010. January this year confirms the positive trend of production and financial performance of JSC Tolmachevo Airport by the facts of the past year.

The first four months of 2009, the average decline in production in the airport compared with 2008 was 20%. In July 2009 the management of JSC Airport Tolmachevo became actively engaged in anti-crisis measures to overcome the effects of the volatile situation in the economy. As a result, in November 2009 there was a positive growth trend of production and financial performance compared to the same period in 2008.

In November 2009, passenger traffic at the airport of Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) was 137 400 people (0, 3 % increase by in November 2008). Volume of take-off mass in November 2009 grew by 2008 on 6,1 %.

In December 2009 passenger traffic at the airport of Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo) was 145 468 people (11, 7% increase by 2008). Air Terminal of JSC Airport Tolmachevo was used by 144 497 people in December (11, 9% increase). The number of sorties in December last year was 1 042 units (6, 4% increase).

The positive trend is also linked with the expansion of geography of flights of partner airlines: UTair, Ural Airlines, Vladivostok Avia, Yakutia. The specialists of JSC Airport Tolmachevo at the end of the past - the beginning of this year also marked increase in the average passenger load at the flights.
