OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2010. Under the Safe City program, Russian Global Navigation technologies are introduced in Zabaikalsky region. Regional militia squads have received several patrol vehicles equipped with the GLONASS system.

Due to snowy weather, cleaning of the Federal roads in Zabaikalsky region is maintained continuously by 90 snowploughs. Communication between the workers on the roads and the control center is possible today only by telephone, thus the road workers introduce GLONASS to supervise vehicle movements on-line.
