OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2010. Oranta National Joint-Stock Insurance Company paid out reinsurance compensation for the insurance event involving the riverboat Princesa Dnipra. The liability of the riverboat's owners was insured by one of Ukraine’s insurance companies under the voluntary liability insurance contract for owners of water transport and reinsured by Oranta.

As the riverboat Princesa Dnipra approached the berth of Odessa port, it hit the other riverboat due to the steering control failure and human factor. As a result, both the riverboat Khadzhibei and the berth of Odessa sea port were damaged.

The reinsurance compensation paid by Oranta under the incoming reinsurance contract amounted to UAH 128, 000.
