OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2010. In Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka town (Zaporizhzhya region) there was a solemn ceremony of the beginning of construction of new transshipment terminal for grains and oilseeds for river transport of “NIBULON”.

Construction of this facility is the gradual step in implementing of the company’s large-scale investment project. In addition, the terminal in Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka city will be the first subsidiary of “NIBULON” in Zaporizhzhya region.

Head of Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration Oleksandr Staruh expressed satisfaction that today the national investor has come to Zaporizhzhya: “Firstly, there are 39 grain elevators, and 20 of them need updating. Therefore the construction of this modern grain elevator, made with the latest technology and developments in this area, will significantly revitalize the economic life of the agricultural enterprises of Zaporizhzhya region. Secondly, and it is very important, it is 100 workplaces for the residents of Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka town. Jobs mean work and an abundance of people, it is development. And another advantage - is that corn will be more expensive because there will be savings from the logistics of grain volume moving. We hope to be able to make a good showing and after construction of this terminal, our cooperation with “NIBULON” will be continued in the construction of other facilities in Zaporizhzhya region.

Olexandr Vasylyovych also gave a comment on the investment project of “NIBULON”: “Implementation of the investment program of “NIBULON” will revitalize the economy not only in economic areas but it will also revive life of the Dnieper. This project is extremely ambitious, but for “NIBULON” and Oleksiy Opanasovych implementation of this investment program in life is not a problem.  A very difficult year, investment activity declined in general and the fact that the national producer and domestic investors are not afraid to invest, proves that there is a future of our village, our agriculture and together we will win!”

The head of Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka district administration Mykola Byelikov thanked the Director General of “NIBULON”, Hero of Ukraine Oleksiy Opanasovych Vadaturskyy because he chose the Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka region to build a new terminal and expressed hopes that the residents of the area will justify this trust.
Chairman of Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka Regional Council Olexander Doroshenko expressed his support to “NIBULON”: “For the first time in the history of our agricultural area investment to support our domestic producers of grain were attracted. Our region annually produces more than 100-120 thousand tons of grain and oilseeds. Budget of each resident of our region consists of realization of agricultural products. Newly-built river terminal of “NIBULON” will facilitate the realization of agricultural products to our producers and it will certainly increase revenue of Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka budget. That is why today’s event for Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka distict is significant.

According to Mayor of Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka Olexandr Yegorovych Dunayev: “Over the past 50 years there have been built no serious facilities in our town. For us it is local budget income and workplaces. Therefore, we will help “NIBULON” doing everything that depends on town council.

General Director of “NIBULON”, Hero of Ukraine O. Vadaturskyy drew attention of the public to the economic practicality of building a new terminal: “The cost of this project is more than 100 million UAH. It will be a modern enterprise, where port will be built, the modern non-self-propelled and dumb vessels, that can carry up to 5 thousand tons of grain directly to the markets - in Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Greece and other Mediterranean areas, will be able to stand in the port. For the construction of this terminal about 10 thousand cubic meters of concrete will be used, about 5 thousand tons of metal will be transported, assembled and installed, more than 700 thousand details will be collected, more than 20 cranes will work. In January the number of employed in construction will be about 1000 people. We set ourselves the task to create one of the most modern enterprises with estimated cost of more than 100 million UAH for only four months. This company will be able to take and ship 5 thousand tons of agricultural products daily. This project will increase the market price by 50-70 UAH. If you multiply these figures on the volume of agricultural products, that we can accept and ship, regional households will receive 15 million UAH of additional income to agricultural sector in the Left Bank area of Ukraine and on the whole income of households will be more than 100 million UAH. It is the point of the economic impact of our project”.

“Despite the fact that today Ministry of Transport and Communications prevents us, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine does not help and does not notice the problems; we have received support from the governments of Denmark, Germany, Spain, that really care about their producers and together with the first class European banks provide financing of the facility.

Oleksiy Opanasovych Vadaturskyy expressed his sincere appreciation to those construction companies due to which new terminals of “NIBULON” are being erected quickly and efficiently today and those who “will feel rate and rhythm of a real building for the first time”. Thus, our company will demonstrate another business class for construction companies. This will be a nice stress for the local population, because they have to feed, warm, shelter, about 1000 people. I am sure that Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka will come to live. During the construction and after erection of the object, we will be able to provide jobs to the local population which will work on this most modern computerized facility.

O.O. Vadaturskyy also thanked the local and regional authorities, who in spite of everything help the company to overcome the drawbacks of Ukrainian bureaucracy. “Those people, who work with us, know that we are building a facility for 2-3 months, but to resolve the bureaucratic hurdles it is necessary to spend more than a year. Because of this, we begin building our facility before New Year in winter, and we are planning to finish construction in spring.

Building site was solemnly consecrated, and the laying of a capsule with address to offspring, that is a good tradition of “NIBULON”, was held.

Dealing with the press O.O. Vadaturskyy said: “We will show that people do not feel crisis in the region where we work. Local construction companies that want to work will be involved. Today, logistics costs make up 30% from the prices of agricultural products. Since our arrival in this region, logistics costs will be reduced twice, and it is opportunity to increase cost for agricultural production by 50-70 UAH per ton.

O.V. Staruh noted that whereas the multiplier factor, the economic value of “NIBULON’s” investments for Zaporizhzhya region will become prominent and tangible for everybody: “The task of Kamyanka-Dniprovs’ka inhabitants - is not to let down, because “NIBULON” has serious plans for construction of other facilities in Zaporizhzhya region.

Summing up this year, Oleksiy Opanasovych Vadaturskyy noted that in 2009 in “NIBULON” there were more pleasant events than unpleasant ones. But for his team, that is used to battle and overcoming the problems, a year without interference seemed to be uninspiring.

Today, despite the opposition to normal business activities of “NIBULON”, the company is developing, expanding the geography of its divisions, launching the vessels, gathering a record harvest, finding associates who also want to make Ukraine rich and economically robust country, that can be an independent player in the international arena. And the proof is the construction of new elevators and river terminals in different regions of Ukraine. What can I wish to such a strong and powerful team for the next year? More opportunities and time to work, to create, but not to fight, overcoming the drawbacks of Ukrainian bureaucracy. Strength, intelligence, diligence, professionalism – the team has already got all this qualities. They proved it.
