OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2010. A new enterprise producing components for KAMAZ trucks – LEONI Wiring Systems OOO (RUS) was opened in Kama Industrial Park Master – KAMAZ’s partner producing OEM components (Naberezhnye Chelny).

The enterprise was set up by LEONI Group, one of the world leading producers of wires, cables, wire and cable systems, optical fibers and other various electronic devices. It will deliver state-of-the-art and fine vehicle harness to KAMAZ.

LEONI Wiring Systems OOO (RUS) is the first enterprise of the group in Russia. Its production entities are located on the area of 3000 square meters. Besides, the plant rents 1000 square meters from KIP Master for storehouses and the same area for offices. The company plans to develop and work on the open Russian market of vehicle components and execute orders almost in all volumes.

The production policy of KAMAZ Inc. which positions itself as a company integrated into the international automobile industry stipulates the use of the best components from the leading Russian and foreign producers in construction of KAMAZ trucks. 4 joint Russian-foreign enterprises established in 2005-2009 work on the premises of KAMAZ with this purpose. In October 2009 3 JVs more were set up. Over 50 enterprises of the tenants of KIP Master also deliver components for trucks of the company. LEONI Wiring Systems OOO (RUS) will be one of the largest enterprises among them – by occupied areas as well as by output.
