OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2010. Within 11 months 2009, the trade balance deficit of Moldova amounted to US1 billion 757 million, decreasing as compared to the same period of 2008 by US1 billion 264 million (41,8%).  As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-November 2009 the volume of Moldovan exports totaled US1 billion 159,6 million, decreasing as compared with the same period of 2008 by 21,2%.

The volume of exports to CIS countries amounted to US 442.9 million, declining by 22,5%. Deliveries of Moldovan goods to EU countries decreased by 20,2% - up to US 605.1 million. The volume of imports to Moldova for the period amounted to US 2 billion 916.6 million, decreasing as compared to the same period of 2008 by 35,1%.

At the same time, imports to Moldova from CIS declined by 35,7% - up to US 1 billion 008.5 million and from the EU states- by 34,9% - up to US 1 billion 274 million. For 11 months of 2009, trade deficit of Moldova with the EU states as compared with the same period of 2008 has decreased by 44,2% - up to US 668.9 million and with CIS countries - by 43,3% - up to US 565.6 million.

The largest trade deficit of Moldova was registered with the Ukraine - US 332.6 million, followed by: China - US 217.9 million, Germany - US 156.2 million, Kazakhstan - US 142.3 million, Turkey - US 127,7 million, Italy - US 83.9 million, Romania - US 60.6 million, Russia - US 53.8 million and Belarus - US 48.5 million. Data of the National Bureau of Statistics of Moldova does not take into account trade-economic transactions of the Transnistrian enterprises.
