OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2010. MP Bank had the highest market share in bonds trading on Nasdaq OMX in the year 2009 with 31,7% market share, according to Nasdaq OMX, reported the press-centre of MP Bank.

MP Bank's market share grew steadily throughout the year, from 18,4% market share in January to 38,9% in December.

MP Bank?s management made the strategic decision  to emphasize bonds trading in the beginning of 2008 which is the result of this excellent performance and also confirmation of the level of trust the bank has in the market.

It is likely that the bond market in Iceland will be lively in 2010 since investors are increasingly looking for investments with limited risk but acceptable yield.
