OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2010. AS Eesti Telekom submitted an application to NASDAQ OMX Tallinn Stock Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the “Exchange”) to stop trading with Eesti Telekom shares as from 7 January 2010 until delisting of the shares from the main list of the Exchange, reported the press-centre of Eesti Telekom.
On 21 December 2009, the Listing and Surveillance Committee of the Exchange decided to satisfy the request of AS Eesti Telekom to delist the shares of AS Eesti Telekom from the main list of the Exchange as of the next stock exchange day after the minority shares have been transferred to TeliaSonera AB (publ) by the registrar of the Estonian Central Register of Securities (hereinafter referred to as the “Registrar”).
AS Eesti Telekom has submitted an application to the Registrar to transfer the shares in the ownership of minority shareholders to TeliaSonera AB (publ). On the basis of the information received from the Registrar so far, AS Eesti Telekom assumes that the day of the transfer of the shares will be 12 January 2010.
The Registrar will transfer minority shares to TeliaSonera AB (publ) and monetary compensation to the bank accounts of the minority shareholders automatically without the minority shareholders having to submit any additional applications or orders.
To ensure that all transactions done with shares of AS Eesti Telekom will be completed before the transfer day, it is necessary to stop the share trading with sufficient time reserve before the date of transfer of shares, taking into consideration the usual term of realization of stock exchange transactions.
