Ukio Bankas Investment Funds Named Most Profitable in Lithuania
OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2010. According to the data of the Funds Centre Nasdaq OMX, Ukio bankas Bonds Fund and Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund were the most profitable among the harmonised collective investment undertakings managed by the Lithuanian investment management companies in 2009 in the categories of share and bond funds: on 31 December 2009, the annual yield of Ukio bankas Bonds Fund’s totalled 31.39 percent, and that of Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund – 49.79 percent, reported the press-centre of Ukio Bankas.
“The main reasons of the achieved profitability of these investment funds include a favourable situation in the finance markets that has established since March 2009 and the professional management of the funds,” Antanas Suraucius, director of UAB Ukio banko investiciju valdymas, said. “We expect the year 2010 to be successful for the funds too”.
In the words of Mr Suraucius, over 2009 Ukio bankas Bonds Funds managed to earn by 7.29 percentage points higher yield, and Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund by 22.82 percentage point higher yield compared to the comparative indices specified in their prospectuses, which perfectly illustrates the professionalism of the team of Funds’ managers.
Currently, UAB Ukio banko investiciju valdymas manages Ukio bankas Bonds and Ukio bankas Rational Investment Funds and the Chinese, Russian, European, US and Money Market Instrument sub-funds of Ukio bankas Investment Opportunities Fund. Since the very establishment (July 2006), Ukio bankas Bonds Fund’s yield was 0.05 percent, and Ukio bankas Rational Investment Fund’s yield (established on 23 January 2007) -6.14 percent. Offering of Ukio bankas investment funds is carried out via AB Ukio bankas client service unit and Ukio bankas internet banking system Eta bankas.
