OREANDA-NEWS. January 5, 2010. Lietuvos Energija has signed an agreement with Kaunas University of Technology (KUT) regarding cooperation while preparing electricity specialists, scientific conferences, seminars, conducting student internships and scientific research.

This is a mutually useful agreement, taking into account the importance of science and new technologies in electricity sector, - said Mr. Aloyzas Koryzna, Chief Executive Officer of Lietuvos Energija. We will invite University scientists to participate while solving important issues in the energy sector and create conditions for students to carry out internship. According to Mr. A. Koryzna, the goal of the company is to select and employ the best specialists – graduates of Kaunas University of Technology.

Professor Jonas Daunoras, the Dean of Electricity and Control Engineering Department of Kaunas University of Technology, rejoiced the relationship between the university and company, lasting for a number of years: “For over 15 years Lietuvos Energija has been one of the most important employers, ordering studies to be performed by the university. It is delightful that in the course of time our cooperation horizons are broadening.”

Graduate and undergraduate students are going to have conditions to choose topics for graduation theses, related to company activities and specialists of Lietuvos Energija will be invited join commissions for presentation of graduation theses and preparation of study programs.

KUT intends to consult the company while solving technological economic issues, cooperate while preparing top qualified specialists needed by Lietuvos Energija.
