OREANDA-NEWS. January 04, 2010. Shiauliu bankas has changed the interest rates paid for the deposits in litas. The bank pays 8.25 per cent of annual interest for a one-year time deposit in litas, 7.8 per cent - for nine-month and 7.5 per cent - for six-month time deposit in litas.

Shiauliu bankas pays 4.2 per cent for a one-year time deposit in euros, 2.2 per cent of annual interest for the time deposits in USD. The interest paid for the time deposits in litas placed for a one-month period reaches 4 percent, in euros - 3 per cent.

The bigger interest is paid to the depositors who place time or accumulative deposits via the Internet through the SB linija. In this case the interest paid for the time and accumulative deposits increases by 0.2 per cent. The depositors will receive 8.45 of annual interest for a one-year time deposit in litas.

By 0.2 per cent higher interest is also paid for those depositors who place the time depositors with Visa Electron or Maestro payment card. Shiauliu bankas pays 8.55 per cent for the Child’s Deposit placed in litas and 4.5 per cent for the same deposit placed in euros.

All the deposits with Shiauliu bankas are insured in the state company “Insurance of Deposits and Investments”. The interest rates applied to the time deposits could be calculated using the deposit interest calculator.
