OREANDA-NEWS. January 4, 2010. Ingosstrakh has paid more than USD 480 000 of insurance indemnity for the losses arisen from grounding of Svyatoy Pavel motor vessel owned by Medpar Maritime Limited.

The vessel has run aground during the transition from external to inner anchorage in the port of Alexandria, Egypt. As a result, the outer hull plating has been damaged. After being partially unloaded the vessel was set afloat. Temporary repair was carried out in Alexandria; then the vessel proceeded to the port of Ilyichevsk, where the damages were completely eliminated.

This insurance event has been fully settled by Ingosstrakh in December 2009.
