OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2009. Timur Kulibayev, Deputy Chairman of NWF “Samruk–Kazyna” JSC, Chairman of KEGOC Board of Directors, introduced a new head of the company. He informed that as per decision of the company sole shareholder (NWF Samruk–Kazyna JSC) Almassadam Satkaliyev was appointed President and Chairman of Management Board of KEGOC JSC.

- Candidature of Almassadam Satkaliyev got an unquestioning support, said Timur Kulibayev. He showed himself as an efficient top manager, has a successful experience in implementation of large-scale electricity projects included in governmental program “30 Corporate Leaders of Kazakhstan”. Moreover, Deputy Chairman of NWF “Samruk–Kazyna” JSC remarked KEGOC leading positions on corporate governance and wished the management as well as the company’s personnel success and new achievements. In his turn, Almassadam Satkaliyev, President of KEGOC JSC, thanked the shareholders for rendered support and noted that the company’s personnel would justify high confidence of the country’s government by successful implementation of projects for electricity infrastructure development.

Almassadam Satkaliyev has been working for KEGOC since 2001, earlier he was the head of the company from 2007 to 2008.

Almassadam Satkaliyev was born on 31 October 1970 in Almaty. He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 1992, majoring in mechanical engineering, applied mathematics. Candidate of Economic Sciences. Honored powerman of CIS. He is an owner of “Kurmet” award. Chairman of Kazakhstan Electricity Association, Chairman of Kazakhstan Committee of WEC (World Energy Council).

1992 – 1997 – activity in business organizations. 1997-2001 – Manager, Head of Project Management Department, Managing Director, Vice President for Economy for NOTC KazTransOil JSC. 2001-2006 - Financial Director, Vice President for Economy and First Vice President for Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company, KEGOC (JSC). 2006-2007 – Director – Team Leader on KEGOC JSC, Director for Managing Electric Energy Assets for “Kazakhstan Holding for Management of State Assets “Samruk” JSC. Since January 2007 – Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From September 2007 – President, From October 2008 – First Vice President of JSC “Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company” “KEGOC”.
