OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2009. Pumping of the 400 million tons of oil through the section of "Atyrau-Samara" was completed by JSC "KazTransOil".

400 million tons is the indicator that was reached from the moment of launch of the oil pipeline in 1971.

The "Atrya-Samara" oil pipeline is one of the important export routes for transportation of Kazakhstan oil through the system of oil pipelines of JSC "Transneft" increasing the volumes of oil transportation through the given section JSC "KazTransOil" increases the budget of the country and makes its contribution to the development of the economy. Successful business cooperation in the field of transportation of hydrocarbons is an important component of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.

JSC "KazTransOil" is a monopolist on the markets of services on pipeline transport carrying out transportation of about 60% of oil produced in Kazakhstan.

Oil transportation company, which is part of the group of the companies of JSC "NC "KazMunaiGas", exploits main oil pipelines of 5 329,6 km, and waterlines of 2175,2 km. The total volume of reservoir parks comprises 1363,9 thou. cubic meters, of which 1204 thou. cubic meters are for crude oil.

The volume of transportation of oil through the system of JSC "KazTransOil", according to operational data for 10 months of 2009 comprises 42 mln. 057 thou. tons in comparison with 39 mln. 119 thou. tons in the same period of 2008.
