GMCS Organized Workshop in Moscow
OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. The “Comprehensive solution for energy supply companies, the power and fuel industry and the water and sewage industry: Microsoft Dynamics AX & MECOMS – an instrument to manage business performance” workshop took place in
Top-managers and heads of settlement department of the largest Russian energy supply companies, as well as power and fuel industry and water and sewage industry enterprises took part in the event.
The workshop focused on key issues for the power and fuel industry and the water and sewage industry – cutting costs, sales activities, creating competitive advantages aimed at increasing customer satisfaction and introducing new services, updating accounting, approaches towards automation of metering procedures, financial components of sales costs, interaction with grids and regulatory authorities, working with consumers in terms of the complaints policy.
A focal point of the workshop was the presentation made by Oleg Lysov, Head of the Microsoft Solutions Department at GMCS, who talked about the comprehensive Microsoft Dynamics AX & MECOMS solutions and the possibilities offered by the solutions in terms of managing business performance of energy supply companies, power and fuel industry and water and sewage industry enterprises. As part of the hands-on part of the workshop a demonstration was made of the comprehensive Microsoft Dynamics AX & MECOMS solution. During the demonstration workshop participants were able to become familiar with the system’s interface, ask questions, evaluate the simplicity and convenience of working with the system.
In general the event’s agenda included several presentations, when workshop participants were able to discuss the needs and tasks of energy companies related to improving competitive qualities and working in a liberalized market. In particular as part of the workshop presentations were made by Arkady Inozemtsev, Manager of the “Utilities” industry area at Microsoft, and Martin Arutyunyan, Partner at Deloitte.
Participants thought highly of the workshop agenda in terms of it meeting their expectations, of the practical benefits of information obtained and the expertise of the speakers. Commenting on the event Oleg Lysov in turn noted: “The workshop proved to be an efficient ground to exchange views, actual examples and company experience in organizing work with consumers, billing, work with debts and other important tasks that require efficient IT solutions. Information we received will be used to develop our relationships with energy supply companies in terms of management automation”.
