OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. "Lukoil" OJSC withdrew its claim on invalidating a decision and determination of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) from the Appeal Court. Therefore, the decision regarding "Lukoil" OJSC came into force.

On 24th June 2009, the Moscow Arbitration Court confirmed validity of the FAS Russia's conclusions on the case.

In autumn 2008, FAS Russia found that the group of persons of "Lukoil" OJSC abused their dominant position in the wholesale markets of oil products in the Russian Federation by fixing monopolistically high prices.

In view of its decision and determination coming into force, FAS Russia will control how "Lukoil" OJSC executes the requirements on preventing antimonopoly violations as well as undertakes measures towards developing competition in the oil products markets.

At the same time several subsidiaries of "Lukoil" OJSC continue litigation with FAS Russia.
