OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against "VympelCom" OJSC upon a petition of the Association of Regional Providers for the signs of abusing market dominance (Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition").

FAS Russia established that in the Tomsk and Bryansk regions "VympelCom" OJSC charges its subscribers 2.5 times more for cellular communication services when calls terminated in the network of providers from the "ТЕLE 2" Group than when calls terminated in the networks of other regional mobile operators.

The case will be considered on 3rd February 2010.
